Boost Your SEO With Social Media
Social Media is important and powerful… there is no denying that! However, SEO (or Search Engine Optimization) is still important to get a jump on the competition.
Here are some things you need to know:
1) While social signals do matter, don’t just pander to your fans for Facebook “likes.” Instead, make sure that your blog/website is enabled with SHARING buttons. These buttons allow for readers to pass info on, and this will get you readers in a more far-reaching way.
2) Authority begets authority. If you are able to create a relationship with a well-known leader in your community, having them to acknowledge your site via theirs can give a HUGE impact to your readership… and SEO ranking.
3) Use other resources (blogs) and link to them. The ping backs are beneficial to your ranking, and will help garner a better readership. Additionally, link within your blog to past posts. Wikipedia, for instance, is full of internal links and is obviously an SEO winner.
